What changed between the Q1 2026 and Q2 2026 filings?

Flock matches the two filings position by position and ranks on share-count changes, because a value change alone can be the quarter's price move. From the Q2 2026 page, read 19 September 2026:

  • Newly reported: D R Horton Inc, 3,564 shares, $580.5K. It is the only position in the Q2 filing that had no line in the Q1 filing.
  • No longer reported: Constellation Brands Inc. The Q1 filing carried 632,890 shares ($94.9M at the Q1 valuation); the Q2 filing has no line for it.
  • Largest share-count increases: Alphabet Class A (+24,541,369 shares), Alphabet Class C (+23,603,218), Delta Air Lines (+17,510,544), Lennar Corp Class A (+3,012,099) and Macy's (+4,309,071).
  • Largest share-count decreases: Bank of America (-30,230,150), Kroger (-11,000,000), Capital One Financial (-4,150,000), Nucor (-2,049,323), Ally Financial (-2,000,000) and DaVita (-1,220,376).

Fifteen of the 29 lines, including Apple, American Express and Coca-Cola, show a zero share change between the two filings; the remaining smaller moves (New York Times +553,465, Lennar Class B +60,414) are in the full table on the Flock page.

How to read the Berkshire Hathaway 13F without misreading it

It is a quarter-end snapshot filed six weeks later. The positions are as of 30 June 2026 and became public on 14 August 2026. Anything Berkshire did in July or August is not in this filing and will first appear in the Q3 2026 report, due within 45 days of 30 September.

Two CUSIPs can be one company. The information table lists securities by CUSIP, so Alphabet appears as two lines (Class A and Class C), Lennar as two (CUSIP 526057104 and 526057302) and Liberty Live Holdings as two (CUSIP 530909308 and 530909100). Add them if you want a company-level figure; the filing itself does not.

It is not the whole of Berkshire. Form 13F covers Section 13(f) securities, which the SEC publishes as an official list each quarter. Wholly owned operating subsidiaries, cash and Treasury bills, non-US listed shares and short positions are outside it. The $299.25B is the reported US equity book, not Berkshire's balance sheet.

A share count can move without a trade. Stock splits, spin-offs and CUSIP changes all show up as share-count changes in a position-by-position match. Check the issuer's own filings before reading a large percentage move as a decision.

Confidential treatment exists. The SEC can grant a filer permission to omit a position from the public table and disclose it later in an amendment. When that happens the public Q2 table is incomplete until the amendment lands. Flock's page re-checks EDGAR daily and re-stamps when a new filing or amendment for the filer arrives.

Does the 13F show everything Berkshire owns?

No. Form 13F covers long positions in Section 13(f) securities, mainly US-listed equities and some options and convertibles. It excludes non-US listings, most bonds, cash, wholly owned operating businesses and short positions. Source: SEC Form 13F FAQ, Question 2 and the Official List of Section 13(f) Securities.
